Voegele Rosenheim
née Ottenheimer
13 February 1798 - 7 June 1844
Voegele's husband was Abraham Moses
Rosenheim, the owner of the "Waldhorn"
inn. He was a pragmatic businessman who clashed with more strictly
observant members of the community board when they fined him for shaving
his beard on the intermediate days of a Jewish holiday - entertaining his
guests with a stubbly beard was not his idea of running an inn.
After his death in 1840 Voegele took
over. In the year she died, her two daughters left for America; a few years
later her two sons followed them.
